South Ayrshire Council is delighted to announce that there will be a free community open day at the Riverside Sports Arena and surrounding grounds on Saturday 15 June.
Our Thriving Communities and Sport and Leisure teams will collaborate with the Ayr North Community Sports Hub and a variety of local sports clubs and organisations to host the fantastic Super Saturday Communities Day event.
A range of exciting activities will take place across the Riverside Sports Arena, Ayr Academy, and the surrounding grounds at the River Ayr from 10:00am until 3:00pm, including a cycle track and led bike ride.
Attendees will also be able to browse stalls with information from our Council services and partners.
Clubs already confirmed to attend are Prestwick Howie bowling club; Ayr Seaforth Athletics; Table Tennis Scotland; Scottish Handball; Prestwick Tennis centre; Dundonald Gymnastics; AYROC Ayrshire Orienteering Club; South Ayrshire Leisure; Whitletts Victoria Football Club; and Vision Perform, with more to be announced.

From 1:00pm to 3:00pm, the Thriving Communities Ayr North locality team will also celebrate the achievements of young people, adults and families who have engaged in their programmes over the past 12 months.
South Ayrshire Council’s Director of Communities and Transformation, Jane Bradley, said: “I’m delighted that we’re able to host the Super Saturday Communities event again this year. People can get involved in a range of activities and find out about all the fantastic local clubs, groups and organisations in the area. You might even discover a passion for a new sport – and it’s completely free to attend.”
