Please see attached posters and info below on the upcoming Participatory Budgeting Events (all events are taking place from 5.30pm – 8pm), where the public can come along and vote on how funding is spent within their locality.  The posters include the QR codes to take you to the online voting form which will remain open until each of the events start.

  • Troon & Villages – Tuesday 3rd September in Walker Hall, Municipal Buildings, South Beach, Troon, KA10 6EF

  • Prestwick & Villages  – Thursday 5th September in Prestwick Academy, 15 Newdykes Road, Prestwick, KA9 2LB

  • Ayr South & Villages – Monday 9th September in Kyle Academy, 20 Overmills Road, Ayr, KA7 3LR
  • Maybole and North Carrick – Thursday 12th September in Maybole Town Hall, High Street, Maybole, KA19 7BZ

Various Third Sector, charity and community organisations have submitted applications to bid for up to £3000 which were considered by the Locality Planning Partnerships’ sub-group. Applicants have been invited to attend this event to speak to the community directly, to showcase their project / work and the plan behind their funding bid. We would love for you to attend to speak to applicants and have your say on the allocation of funding by voting for your favourite applications.

Anyone who lives, works or volunteers in that particular locality and is aged 10 and over can vote.  At the event, over 16s will be asked for their name and postcode and under 16s will be asked for their parent/guardians name, the school they attend and their date of birth.  This information will only be used to ensure it is a valid vote and that you are voting in the correct locality for you.

The Girvan & South Carrick and Ayr North PB event details will be sent out in due course, once the online voting starts for those areas.

Please share this with your networks and come along to support your community.
