28 May, 2024

Sent on behalf of Faye Murfet, Alcohol and Drug Partnership Coordinator

Hi everyone,

Due to unforeseen circumstances the ADP Connecting Recovery Walk scheduled for the 7th June has been postponed and will now take place on

Friday 30th August.  The new date will be part of our annual activities for International Overdose Awareness Day (31st) and Recovery Month (September).

Could we ask you to hold the 30th August in your diaries and further details will follow later this week. Apologies for any inconvenience this date chance may cause.

We would like to invite you to take part in our Connecting Recovery Walk Day on Friday 7th June 2024 where we will launch our new one stop shop ‘Compass’ and RecoveryAyr will also launch their new Recovery Hub venue ‘@48’.

There are two options for the day:

  • You can register for one of the guided walks which will start at Compass and finish at @48 and will also visit our new outreach vehicle, We Are With You services and Ayrshire Council on Alcohol on route. The walks will start on the hour between 10am and 2pm.  To book your space on a walk please email adp@south-ayrshire.gov.uk with your preferred walk time.
  • You can drop into Compass and @48 at any time between 10am and 3pm to find out more about each venue, meet the partners and volunteers involved, and the activities and support that will be available.

Please find attached a flyer with more information. I would be grateful if you could share widely through your teams and networks.

We look forward to seeing you on the 7th as we launch these exciting new projects.
