Colmonell Celebrating the International week of Older People:
South Ayrshire Walking Development :
There are currently 15 active health walks across South Ayrshire. Health Walks are free accessible to all weekly walking groups. These groups are a great way to get active at a gentle pace, see new paths, connect to nature and meet like-minded people.
All our groups are led by trained walk leaders and are free of charge. You can find out where your nearest walk is via this link – South Ayrshire Walking Development – Paths for All | Paths for All
We are always looking for walk leader volunteers. If you would like to support one of our health walks, or perhaps start your own group up then we can support you by putting you through a 3 hour online walk leader training with paths for all. We do ask that you take part in two of our existing health walks prior to doing the training. The next training takes place online on 15th September.
If you would like to chat more please get in touch with Lindsay via email Lindsay.johnson@south-ayrshire.gov.uk
You can find us on fb and Instagram search ‘Health Walks South Ayrshire’
Cayr Local
Sharing awareness of a project called Cayr Local my name is Kirsti Bell I am the Micro-enterprise community support Coordinator. At present we are looking for individuals to start up their own business in supporting people living in their communities. This has been identified as a need in areas of south Ayrshire. If I can be involved in anything happening in the area, please contact me. My aim is to get people set up in their own business then pass the directory to anyone looking for support.
If in anyway you can support Cayr Local, then please get in contact. I am out and about in the communities and advertising events on our Ailn facebook page.

DOMESTIC ABUSE SURVEY
The vision for South Ayrshire communities is that everyone is supported to ‘Grow Well, Live Well and Age Well’. As part of our aspirations for our communities, South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership is keen to hear the views of the community in relation to services for women and children affected by domestic abuse. This survey should only take about 5 minutes to complete and responses are anonymous.
Please see the link below and attached QR code for sharing with your wider networks. We appreciate that this is a very sensitive topic so please do not pass the survey on for completion, if you think it may cause harm.
