The Role of the Troon Community Council
Community Councils are voluntary bodies which exist within a statutory framework and which have been granted statutory rights of consultation. The general purpose of the Troon Community Council is to ascertain, co-ordinate and express the wider views of the entire community within its boundaries. Community Councils will seek to represent and include all sections of their communities, regardless of age, gender, ability, ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. They can complement the role of the local authority but are not part of local government.

Recycling Saturday – Troon – Update from Morag Mathieson – Marr College car park from 10.30 to 11.00 on Saturday 13th July .
20th July is the penultimate date of the Open in Troon. So. for this month only, we will meet on the second Saturday in the month, that is, the 13th. I hope you can come along.
You are invited to join us in Marr College car park from 10.30 to 11.00 on Saturday 13th July to celebrate our 2nd Birthday.
The number of people bringing things to us varies from one month to the next so I really don’t know how busy we will be.
To see what we do with all items donated, you can find this under “Files” on our Facebook page.
I hope you can come along to see what we do and maybe have a little fizzy, alcohol free, drink with us.(It is a Saturday morning after all ????)
Kind regards,
Morag
