TROON COMMUNITY COUNCIL BY-ELECTIONS 2024

Troon households have been issued with a Ballot Paper and return envelope for the Community Council by-election
Please find below statements from the five applicants applying for the four vacant posts

In no order of preference:-

Christine Smith

I view my role as a member of TCC as a voice for Troon Citizens, acting in their best interests, working with fellow members to enhance the lives of residents, businesses and visitors. I bring a life of public service work and long time Union Steward, challenging authority when required.
David Jaffray
My aim is to help develop a positive vision for Troon by working collaboratively being an advocate for our residents. I plan to achieve this by improving communication, keeping people informed about the issues affecting them, and helping organise and participating in various TCC  initiatives such as The Gala Day.
Gavin Lawson
I wish to be elected to the Troon Community Council for the following reasons:-
I am interested in the environment and the development of Troon and it’s surrounding areas. I believe I can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the council I would also support it’s members and chairperson.
Barbara Anne McIndoe
Co-opted member of the community council for many years, Volunteer locally, achieved the following. 12 days of Christmas parade Wintertainment. Barassie beach changed to Bathing water. Member of Troon Water Sports Hub,. Run Troon Volunteers page. Local, dedicated, organised , creative, hardworking.
Linda Lunan
I was a Troon Community Councillor several years ago. I enjoy living in Troon and being involved with Troon issues. I bring a wealth of work, education and life skills to the community and the Community Council .
